Ilona McHugh (’98) is the artistic director at the Berkeley Ballet Theater. She danced with the American Ballet Theatre for 10 seasons. Some of her most memorable roles include dancing Olga in Kenneth MacMillan’s Anastasia, hand-in-hand with renowned ballet artists, such as Viviana Durante, Alessandra Ferri, and Susan Jaffe, and Big Swans in Swan Lake, for which she received complements from Julio Bocca and Kevin McKenzie. McHugh had the good fortune of being a member of the original cast of Black Tuesday and Gong.

Kelsey Byrne (’12) graduated in 2015 from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. She is now a company dancer with Boulder Ballet.
 

 

Lorenzo Dunton ('21), Jasmine Gilbert ('21), Anna "CeCe" Meyer ('20), Yuna Cook ('21) and Rachel Ta ('21) performed in the American Ballet Theatre's The Nutcracker at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Jasmine Gilbert (’21) was also featured in the December issue of Orange Coast Magazine.

The Dance Department at Emory University is absolutely thrilled about Julianna Joss (‘13) being named a Bobby Jones Scholar, as she is the first Bobby Jones Scholarship winner from the Dance Department in 41 years, since the scholarship started in 1976.
